We would like to introduce you to our new Director of Commercial Technology and Analytics – Scott Lawall!
Scott is passionate about his work to advance Diversified Energy Supply and examine the company’s performance metrics to ensure growth. He spent seven years in Dallas working for a national fuel marketer where he learned the ins and outs of the industry and honed his logistical skills. The experiences that he gained during that time has increased his knowledge of the industry, proving he is the perfect fit for making data-based decisions. He will be working closely with teams to uncover insights, strategically optimize opportunities and guide the decision making process.
A New Position
We recently talked with Scott about his new position and found how passionate he is about team building. He loves sharing the wisdom he has gained over his years in the industry and sees it as an opportunity to develop those on his team. He knows the importance of investing in the people around him to build leaders and help the company produce tremendous results. He also believes that he can learn from others and is always looks for ways to become a better leader. The teamwork that Scott demonstrates, paired with his humble leadership, will help further Diversified and inspire the team around him.
Scott’s Background
Though Scott’s background is primarily within the fuel industry, he left for a few years to explore other opportunities. After realizing that he missed working within the industry and that his knowledge was a major advantage for fuel distribution work, he decided to rejoin the industry in 2019. Scott claims that he realized how much he loved it once he left. He values the work he does on a regular basis, humbly taking pride in the accomplishments he has seen so far in his career.
Scott has worked for companies such as TAC Energy, Restaurant Technologies Inc., Cintas and Colonial Oil Industries Inc. He has acquired many licenses and certifications to further his knowledge such as the Smith Driving System Instructor and the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB). His skills for inventory management, project management, data reconciliation, and sales operations make him the ideal candidate for this position.
