Please join us in welcoming our newest member of Diversified Energy Supply – Adam Barnett! Adam brings a wealth of information with him to his position of Director of Supply Operations, as he has worked in the fuel industry for 11 years. Adam will be managing Diversified’s supply and trading operations while creating cost-effective plans that make the most of the energy supply chain. He will be working closely with sales and execution teams in order to correctly predict demand, and find ways to secure supply. Adam will ensure the security of supply for Diversified’s customer base, as well as collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Adam enjoys working in the fuel industry, stating that the most rewarding part of his day-to-day work is the dynamic nature of the industry. He finds that each day is always interesting, and engaging, with even more to learn each day. Adam knows the importance of his work, as he contributes to an industry that is essential to this country’s economic infrastructure. Along the way, he has found that every person at each level of the fuel supply chain provides him with plenty of knowledge and insight, and this makes learning even more fun. His enthusiastic drive for learning is inspiring and encouraging.
Adam graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Business Management and Business Technology and worked for companies such as TAC Energy, Florida Rock, and Tank Lines, Mansfield Energy Corp, and Colonial Oil Industries, Inc. Adam is very knowledgeable when it comes to the fuel industry. Some of Adam’s skills include understanding DOT regulations, DOT compliance, inventory management, team management, time management, training and development, driver training, and much more. He utilizes his knowledge of business technology to implement effective software training.
When asked what he is looking forward to the most now that he works for Diversified, Adam says that he is excited to learn more about the intricacies of energy supply chains and commodities. He wants to build new internal and external working relationships, as well as create lasting friendships. Adam is more than ready to service Diversified’s customer base, and he is passionate about his work.
